Who doesn’t love pesto? I tend to forget to make it, though. I recently had my memory jogged when a friend brought some of her homemade pesto over to spread on grain free crackers that we made together. It’s a creamy flavorful topping that’s fantastic on meats, crackers, or even used as a dip for raw veggies.
With just a few ingredients, and made right in your blender, it’s something you can make easily to dress up a regular meal.
Ingredients for Pesto:
1-2 cups basil leaves, rinsed
¼ cup pine nuts
½ cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic, peeled
¼ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions: To make the pesto, puree all ingredients in a blender or food processor, packing down basil if necessary to puree all the way.
